Limited Lifetime Warranty: Easton's limited lifetime warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship for the life of the product to the original purchaser with original sales receipt. The product will be repaired or replaced at Easton's discretion if it is found to be defective in materials or workmanship.
Easton tents are made with flame resistant fabric, which meets CPAI-84 specifications. It is not fireproof. Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent. The tent fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with an open flame or other heat source. Failure to keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent can result in a fire that can burn, injure or kill you.
Do not use any fuel-burning products (stoves, lanterns, heaters, etc.) inside or within proximity to your tent. Use of fuel-burning products inside or within proximity of this tent can result in the accumulation of dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide-a colorless, odorless gas. Breathing carbon monoxide will cause serious injury or death.
Condensation occurs when moist warm air comes in contact with a cool surface like the inside of the tent canopy or fly. Certain environmental conditions will increase condensation in your tent. You can reduce condensation by letting warm air escape the tent by opening a door or vent. Opening the top portion of the doorway, when possible, will encourage warm air to escape up high and draw in cool air at the base of your tent.
For more information check out this helpful article about tent condensation from Backpackinglight.com. The article refers specifically to single-wall tents but is very informative for controlling condensation in all tents. Full Article
Anchoring your tent will maximize its strength, stability and internal space. Easton tents are designed to offer shelter and protection from the natural elements experienced in the outdoors. By utilizing the tent stakes provided or other natural anchors to secure the footprint and necessary guy-lines, this strength and effectiveness is maximized. (It may be necessary to purchase additional or more specialized anchors for your tent depending on the environment and use.)
With reasonable care, your carbon tent poles will last long into the future.
Carbon fiber poles need to be handled with care. Be sure to wipe any dirt, sand or other debris from the pole insert, as well as the pole itself. This will reduce the chance of damage to the fibers during storage and use, as well as prolong the life of the poles.
The poles are designed to take the load to support the tent. However, they are not designed to take a load from being stepped on, crushed, thrown or dropped. Use caution during set-up and take-down not to step on the poles
Assembly: Carefully assemble each pole section, listening for the engagement "click". (AirLock must be fully engaged to maximize pole strength and prevent failure.)
Disassembly: When disengaging AirLock, use a slight twisting motion while pulling the pole sections apart.
Avoid exposure to flame, excessive heat or chemicals.
Periodically check for cracks or damage: use a piece of cotton fabric to slide up and down the length of the pole looking for any snags. If a snag, crack or splinter is found, avoid using the pole and contact Easton customer service.
Easton poles and AirLock connectors are very durable and strong. However, if pole failure does occur, the unique design allows for unmatched field repairability.
If the AirLock connector insert becomes separated from the carbon pole section due to excessive force or extreme cold, simply press the molded insert back inside the carbon pole section until they seat together. (If problem persists, please contact Easton customer service)
Select a site that is level, will drain, and is sheltered from wind and other elements. Clear the area of debris such as sharp stones and sticks. This will help in your comfort, as well as protect the floor of your tent.
Warning- Carefully consider the possibility of falling rocks or tree limbs, lightning strikes, flash floods, avalanches, strong winds, and other objective hazards when choosing a campsite to reduce the risk of loss or injury to the tent or occupants.
Using a tent footprint will add protection, reduce ware and extent the life of your tent floor. We recommend using a specific footprint for your tent to help keep your tent floor clean and protect it from abrasion, which will prolong the life of your tent. The footprint also aids in repacking your tent after use. By leaving the footprint on the ground and using it as a workstation you can keep your tent and other gear clean while packing your tent into its stuff sack.
Proper cleaning and storage of a tent will prolong tent life. When you return from your camping trip, you should clean all dirt & debris from the inside and outside of your tent. It is easiest to shake out any loose dirt before wiping the surfaces clean with a rag/sponge and warm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry your tent. Do not dry your tent in direct sunlight. Make sure your tent is completely dry before putting it away for storage. A damp tent can promote mildew that is damaging to the fabric.
Be sure to clean and completely dry your tent before storage. Your tent should be stored in a cool dry area to prevent mildew. Other ways to prevent mildew during storage can be to pack the tent loosely into a box or oversized cloth bag. Do not seal the tent in a plastic bag or airtight container. Storing your tent damp or in a damp environment for more than a few days can cause mildew and/or hydrolysis that damage the protective waterproof coating on your tent. Hydrolysis and mildew are not covered under the Easton Limited Lifetime Warrantee.
Easton tents are specifically designed to provide optimized performance within their specified environmental use. That means a 4-season expedition tent will not perform optimally in the summer heat. Likewise, an ultra light 3-season tent is not designed for use in the extreme weather conditions experienced in high altitude expeditions. All-Season tents are designed for lightweight durability that can handle the snow load of an early spring storm.
3-Season tents feature lightweight poles, fabrics and mesh that allow for maximum breathability and versatility. These lightweight tents are optimized for use in spring, summer and fall conditions when extreme weather is not expected. 3-Season tents are very protective against the occasional wind, rain or sleet found on most camping excursions. Most backpackers will be best suited using a 3-season shelter.
All-Season tents feature tent poles and design geometry and fabrics that can resist the unexpected early spring storm or the colder temps of the high country. While not as lightweight as 3-Season tents, All-Season tents are full featured backpacking tents that marry lightweight design with the ultimate in durability and climate versatility. For the camper that wants one tent to do it all, consider one of Easton's All-Season shelters.
4-Season Expedition tents are the most advanced expedition shelters designed to withstand the harshest climates where failure is not an option. Easton expedition tents feature pole-supported vestibules, stilted ventilation, UV resistant materials and the most stable geometry. When you are headed for the unknown in the snow or high altitude, Easton 4-Season tents have you covered.
